Wear orange and stand up to teen dating violence

| February 11, 2014 8:05 AM

The North Idaho Violence Prevention Center is encouraging community members to participate in Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, a national effort throughout February to raise awareness about abuse in teen and 20-something relationships.

This is National Respect Week, and today is Wear Orange Day.

“Encourage as many people as you can to wear something orange on Feb. 11 — shirts, nail polish, ribbons, hats, hair ties or anything else you can think of,” says a media release from the Coeur d’Alene-based violence prevention center. “Post pictures to our Facebook page or twitter (@NIVPC) #orange4love.”
