COEUR d'ALENE - Coeur d'Alene city street crews have been out in full force, clearing streets as the third snow storm of the season hit the region this weekend.
Street superintendent Tim Martin said his crews focused first on arterials and hills, which included the application of sand and de-icer, before moving into their respective residential areas around 10 a.m. Monday morning.
The "light, fluffy" nature of the snow has helped expedite the snow-clearing process, Martin said. Citywide plowing efforts are expected to wrap up by early afternoon today.
