Trisha Ann Mayo, 28

| December 7, 2014 8:00 PM

Trisha Ann Mayo, 28, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 29, 2014, in her parents' home surrounded by her beloved dogs (the "girls") and her loving family after an extended illness.

Trisha was born October 7, 1986, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho to Harold E. and Debbie K. Matthews and lived in Hayden Lake, Idaho until the age of 5 when she and her family moved to Cougar Gulch, south of Coeur d'Alene.

She attended Lake City High School, graduating in 2005. Trisha also attended North Idaho College and Interface College in Spokane, WA graduating in 2007 as a medical billing specialist. She soon took a position with Wolf Creek Practice Management and was working there until focusing on her health became a more important priority.

On September 10, 2011, Trisha married the love of her life, Matthew (Matt) A. Mayo. They made their home in Post Falls, ID. Trisha and Matt built 2 businesses together that Matt continues to successfully run.

Trisha loved animals and was the very best mom to her "girls" Liley, Molly and Polaris, and their big brother Mackie. She enjoyed target shooting, skeet shooting, fishing and accompanying her husband during 'business trips' where they would repossess assets together. She loved shopping in general, and more specifically, shopping for those shabby chic pieces that can be found in and around her home. Hanging out with friends was something she enjoyed immensely and if you ever got a glimpse of her phone or her Facebook page - you would know that Trisha never missed an opportunity for a selfie!

Trisha was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Carol A. Lallatin; paternal grandmother, Arlene Matthews; step maternal grandmother, Judy Baker and her maternal grandfather, Pat L. Farmer. She is survived by her husband, Matt; parents Harold and Debbie Matthews; sister and brother-in-law, Angela Matthews and Tim Erwin; paternal grandfather and step-grandmother, Larry and Nelvie Matthews; step maternal grandfather Scott Bald and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Trisha was strong and feisty, while at the same time a kind, caring, and loving young woman. Her family meant the world to her and she meant the world to them. Her smile and perseverance will live in our hearts forever. She will be deeply missed.

Memorial services and a celebration of Trisha's life will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel, 373 E. Hayden Ave., Hayden, Idaho with a reception to follow. The family requests that guests attending please wear a bit of pink. It is after all - Trisha's signature color.
