LIFESAVER: Thank you, Dr. Lyon

Dr. Wilbur Lyon saved my life! In 1985 I was packed and ready to go to a relative’s 50th anniversary in Modesto, Calif. But in the morning when I raised my arm I felt a pain in my side. I went to Dr. Lyon, my doctor of many years, and after he looked at the X-ray, he said, “You’re not going anywhere. Unpack your suitcases and be here at the hospital in the morning for surgery, if you make it.” He removed a large tumor from my large intestine which was cancerous and ready to burst. And here I am for my 96th birthday with no sign of cancer. Hospice is my favorite charity.
