Cd'A police seek suspect in downtown Zip Trip robbery
COEUR d'ALENE - Coeur d'Alene police officers are looking for a man suspected of robbing a Zip Trip store Sunday night.
According to a department press release, at 10:56 p.m. Sunday, a man entered Zip Trip at 701 E. Sherman Ave. and demanded money. No weapon was displayed by the suspect during the robbery and the man left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Members of the Coeur d'Alene Police Department were joined by the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office and Idaho State Police to set up a perimeter in order to contain the man. The Post Falls Police Department K9 also responded to search the area for the man, who police say fled eastbound from the store on foot.
However, the officers were unable to locate the suspect, who is described as 6-foot or taller, dressed in dark clothing with lighter-colored pants.
