BONNERS FERRY - More than a half-dozen people were arrested on various charges after a Monday afternoon drug raid at several Bonners Ferry locations.

Four people were arrested in the 2 p.m. raid at 6652 Madison and another four were arrested at 6686 Augusta, Apt. 205, according to a press release by the Bonners Ferry Police Department.

According to the release, law enforcement officials from the BFPD, Boundary County Narcotics Task Force, Boundary County Sheriff's Office, U.S. Forest Service Police and the U.S. Border Patrol served narcotics-related search warrants at the two residences.

Officials recovered several grams of suspected methamphetamine, heroin and drug paraphernalia at the two locations as well as firearms in possession of a convicted felon. The warrants were served nearly simultaneously as part of an ongoing effort between local and federal authorities to end the importation and use of illegal narcotics in Boundary County, BFPD officials said in the release.

Arrested at 6652 Madison were:

* Brenda Woods, 44, on a charge of felony possession of a controlled substance.

* Alexandria Jones, 18, on a charge of felony possession of a controlled substance.

* Jacob Navarro, 22, on a charge of felony possession of a controlled substance.

* Nathan Gomez, 20, on a charge of frequenting a drug house.

Arrested at 6686 Augusta, Apt. 205 were:

* William Woods, 23, on charges of felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and ex-felon in possession of a firearm.

* Chad Woods, 20, on a misdemeanor charge of possession of stolen property.

* Jonathan Beckman, 20, on charges of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and frequenting a drug house.

* Russell Mock, 24, on charges of misdemeanor obstruction and delaying a police officer.

All suspects were transported and booked into the Boundary County jail.

"This investigation was a great example of interagency cooperation in taking dangerous drugs and those who deal them off the streets," said Bonners Ferry Police Chief Robert Boone.
