Free teen film screening at Cd'A Public Library Friday
COEUR d'ALENE - A pair of free teen movies will screen at the Coeur d'Alene Public Library as part of Young Adult activities for April.
Coming up Friday is the new Disney animated feature, "Frozen." On April 11 the film will be "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug."
Both films will start at 5:30 p.m. and will be offered in the Shirley Parker Storyroom in the Seagraves Children's Library on the lower level. Snacks are included.
This will be an after-hours activity for teens 13-18, so participants need to arrive before the library closes at 6 p.m.
Other April activities include:
* Thursday, April 10, 4 p.m.: Teen Craft Mix CDs, Gozzer Room. Learn to use the library's free music download service, Freegal, and download as many as five songs per week. Create your own mix complete with case art.
* Friday, April 4 and 18, 4 p.m.: Creative Writing Club, Gozzer Room. Learn the elements of good storytelling, creating convincing characters, and building plot with other young writers ages 10-18.
* Mondays, April 7 and 21, 4 p.m.: Teen Book Club, Gozzer Room, April 7, Readers Choice, April 21, "I Hunt Killers." Collect book at the upstairs Check Out desk. For Ages 12-18.
* Thursday, April 17, 4 p.m.: Video Game Freeplay, Gozzer Room.
* Tuesday, April 22, 1 p.m.: Homeschool Teens. (Registration required at least one week in advance. Call Jolie at 208-765-4393.)
* Tuesday, April 29, 4 p.m.: Board Game Bonanza, Gozzer Room.
