BIRTHS

Olivia Rose Parent was born Aug. 8, 2013, to Marisa and Austin Parent of Post Falls, at Kootenai Health in Coeur d'Alene. She weighed 6 pounds 3 ounces. Grandparents are Jan and Jim Rose of Lewiston.

Kendal Renee Buttrey was born Sept. 19, 2013, to Kylie and Brock Buttrey of Fayetteville, N.C., at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, N.C. She weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces. Maternal grandparents are Sean and Teena Roberts of Hayden. Paternal grandparents are Craig and Jodi Buttrey of Hayden. Great-grandparents are Darrel Edgar of Lewiston, and Steve and Karen Clemens of Springfield, Wash.

MILITARY

Army Reserve Pvt. Zachary E. Rec has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

Rec is a 2010 graduate of Lakeland High School in Rathdrum.
