1983 Post Falls girls basketball
team to be honored as 'Legends of the Game'
BOISE - The Post Falls High girls basketball team of 1982-83, which went 21-4 and won the state A-2 championship, will be honored as a "Legends of the Game" by the Idaho High School Activities Association.
The Trojans, who were coached by Ron Worley, will be honored during halftime of the state 5A basketball championship game Feb. 22 at the Idaho Center in Nampa.
Salmon High's 1964 boys basketball team was chosen as the boys "Legends of the Game." The Savages will be honored March 8 during halftime of the state 5A boys title game at the Idaho Center.
Chiefs forward
suspended two games
Spokane Chief forward Dominic Zwerger received a two-game suspension from the Western Hockey League after being assessed a checking to the head penalty on Tuesday at Victoria.
Zwerger's suspension will expire following Saturday's home opener vs. Tri-City as he has already served one game of his suspension - Wednesday's 6-1 victory over Victoria.
