PRESS: It has too little news

| September 25, 2013 9:00 PM

Where is the news? I’m sorry that the Coeur d’Alene Press just doesn’t get it. Newspaper means “news.” Why should the first full three pages cover only one local event printed on Sept. 15? That story should have been in the local section along with other local stories.

I realize that newspaper companies are competing with TV news and they are losing customers but giving special rates (lowering the cost), giving free boat rides will keep renewing customers but it doesn’t improve getting more world and up to date news.

Ads and announcements do help to make a larger paper on Wednesday and Sunday but Monday paper is a sham and not enough news to retrieve from the front porch. The Press should start changing their format to truly try to bring back their base customers.
