WEATHER: Alert on TV nauseating

| September 18, 2013 11:06 PM

Anyone else out there as thoroughly bugged as I was by the National Weather Alert hijacking our Seahawks game Sunday evening (or any other TV show you happened to be watching?) The constant and lengthy interruptions only served the opposite of what they are intended to do, as I was so sick of them and that horrible noise that I muted the TV until the message alert was through!

Do they really think we are so stupid that we needed to be told over and over again, ad nauseam, that a storm was approaching our area (and all other areas of Washington too)? One or two short alerts in an evening would have been more successful in their attempts, instead of their incessant bombardments.

This is a trend that I have noticed happening much more of late, and any TV show you are watching, well, guess you are just out of luck if you want to follow the dialogue. Who is in charge of these decisions anyway, does anyone know?
