WARMING: It's just a swindle

In his letter of Sept. 1, Mr. Rittenbach states Cliff Harris and Anthony Watts’ main claim to fame is to discredit global climate change. Dr. Thomas Sowell, senior fellow of the Hoover Institution, Stanford University, has a few comments on “The Great Global Warming Swindle.”

He states Britain’s Channel 4 has exposed the scam, distinguished scientists specializing in climate-related fields whose names were paraded on global warming publications that they did not write. This British documentary says many factors have caused the Earth to warm and cool for centuries, including the sun that has had changes. These climate scientists say human activities have very little effect on the climate compared to volcanoes. Academics who jump on the global warming bandwagon are far more likely to get big research grants than those who express doubts.

NASA says four of the top 10 years of high temperatures are from the 1930s. GISS says its previous claim that 1998 was the warmest year in American history now says it was 1934.

Most of the disciples of global warming are liberal Democrats who never have enough of our money. There is emerging evidence the global warming jihadists may be more full of hot air than the climate they claim is about to burn us up.
