HYDROS: Tips for next year

This year’s hydro races for Coeur d’Alene in my opinion were a success, since not having them for 45 years. If I may make one suggestion for future races: There was a lot of downtime between heats. Perhaps an airshow would be good. I think having the “Snowbirds” from Canada, or another air show provider would be nice, or perhaps having some of the smaller class boats race between the heats.

The bus service from the fairgrounds to the lake was wonderful. I didn’t observe any traffic problems whatsoever. The Sheriff’s Office, Police Department and the private security did a great job keeping everyone safe. We had a good time and are looking forward to next year’s event.
