SYRIA: Reasons not to attack

| September 6, 2013 9:51 PM

To Sen. Mike Crapo:

We need to stand up to Obama and not agree with any bombing of Syria.

1. The country of Syria has not attacked the U.S.

2. The Constitution states the Congress of the United States is the only body that can declare war, not the president. If Obama does not receive congressional approval for a wonton attack against a sovereign nation, and attacks that country I expect you to initiate impeachment proceedings against him.

3. Limited missile and bombing strikes against any sovereign nation that has not directly attacked the United States would be an act of war. Limited bombing strikes against Syria will only be the start of a long war with a sovereign nation that is not a threat to the United States. What we should support are the rights of another sovereign nation, not support a group of people who profess their hatred of the United States.

4. If this act of war is sanctioned by Congress, the United States has established a new precedent which “states” we can do whatever we want to any other country in the world regardless of their lack of aggression against the United States based on an individual’s perception of what may or may not be right. This potential attack is based on an opinion of something that may or may not agree with our ideas of right or wrong and is not an act of aggression against the United States.

5. The muslim brotherhood is the main proponent of the civil war against the legal government of Syria and Obama as a member of the Muslim brotherhood whose main goal is to further the radical goals of this organization.

6. The endgame of the Muslim world is the total elimination of any other religion in the world. The United States is a predominantly Christian nation regardless of what the left says. By default the United States will cease to exist as a nation based on individual freedoms. Individual religious freedom is forbidden by the Koran.
