Cox named CEO of Rehabilitation Hospital of the Northwest

David Cox has been named chief executive officer of Rehabilitation Hospital of the Northwest in Post Falls. The hospital is a new 30-bed freestanding facility that will provide intensive physical rehabilitation services to patients recovering from strokes, brain and spinal cord injuries, and other impairments as a result of injury or illness.

Cox possesses 20 years of healthcare experience in operations, resource utilization, program development, finance, and marketing. Prior to joining the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Northwest, he was responsible for the operations of outpatient services for five programs and seven clinics for a rehabilitation hospital in Spokane. He was also rehabilitation director of a 48-bed transitional care unit and managed an occupational therapy unit at a hospital in Seattle.

Cox holds two bachelor's degrees: one in psychology from Carroll College in Helena, Mont., and another in occupational therapy from the University of Washington in Seattle. He holds current certification with the National Board of Occupational Therapy.

Rehabilitation Hospital of the Northwest consists of 38,000 square feet, and will begin accepting patients this December. It will provide more than 120 new jobs for the area.

Jones joins Storhaug Engineering, Durtschi and Associates

Storhaug Engineering in Spokane and Durtschi and Associates in Hayden announced the addition of Randy Jones in the role of engineer in training and AutoCAD designer. Jones graduated from Gonzaga University with a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering. Storhaug Engineering and Durtschi and Associates provide an umbrella of primary services including civil engineering, land surveying, landscape architecture and land use planning.
