WIDMYER: For a unified city

| October 30, 2013 9:00 PM

Coeur d’Alene is a beautiful city to live in, and as a 70-year-old native, I feel compelled to state my thoughts and visions of our city’s future.

Every election changes our city by the leadership that is voted into office. However, we must carefully choose the people who will lead our city. Coeur d’Alene’s mayor needs to have the ability to unite people to make decisions that benefit ALL the citizens and our future generations. The values and experiences of our candidates are extremely important. My support is for Steve Widmyer as he is a grounded, honest person who will provide stability to our city.

Steve is a leader who will listen to EVERYONE, treat them with respect and who has no lobbyist group behind him. With Steve’s business experience, I feel confident he will be an excellent manager of our city and continue to keep our budget in the black.

Steve Widmyer is our best chance of uniting Coeur d’Alene and creating positive energy, in contrast to his opponent who presided over the recent recall effort, an incredibly divisive, mismanaged effort.

I have known Steve for 20 years as a respected businessman who has worked for and with the people in our community. I urge our citizens to help create a positive climate and unified city by voting for Steve Widmyer as mayor of Coeur d’Alene.
