EVANS: Leads by her deeds

Important: Vote for Amy Evans for the Coeur d’Alene City Council, Seat 2. Amy has shown her priorities:

• The need for strong educational and support systems for our children.

• A community that anticipates the needs of its citizens.

• The importance of listening and understanding all the voices in our community.

Amy leads by doing. Sorensen Elementary is a beautiful, functional school today because Amy recognized the importance of neighborhood schools. She united people of different ideas and backgrounds to work together for the benefit of all. She worked hard for the educational corridor that cleaned up and beautified a declining area and made higher education more accessible to people in our city.

Amy helped the Kroc Center establish an unprecedented membership base. Recently Amy held a fund raiser which garnered more than $100,000 for the Idaho Youth Ranch. Amy has served ably on the City’s planning commission. Each one of these efforts by itself is a considerable contribution to the citizens of Coeur d’ Alene. Together they show talent, passion and commitment to improving life in our city for everyone. People who have never supported the same issue or candidate in the past agree that our city council needs Amy.

Amy has shown she is the right leader for our community. She has my vote, please vote for her on Nov. 5.
