ISSUES: Writer addresses several

We need to fire all of our politicians or take their benefits away from them.

I had a man from the Seattle area chasing me. He said he was running for office in Washington, D.C. He said if he got into office and was only there five years, he would get his benefits for the rest of his life. I dumped him, it made me so mad!

We don’t get those kinds of benefits. The citizens of this country should vote on the wages and benefits the politicians get, and have the right to get rid of them if they don’t do a good job.

That’s where our tax money is going, plus all the wars we stick our noses in, in foreign countries. Keep our money here; we have homeless people here. When Bush Jr. got us into that war and found out it was not the way he heard, he should have brought the boys home. I thought it was terrible when parents took their kids to Canada to keep them out of the Vietnam war, but now I think they did the right thing. My daughter joined the Air Force during the Vietnam war. If I had sons now I’d take them to Canada.

I have lived through many wars and things are getting no better. And it’s breaking our country finally. We need to keep our noses out of other countries’ problems. I was a welder in Seattle during World War II.

Women in Washington, D.C., if you want something to help a foreign country, why don’t you go after the corruption in Mexico and clean that country up. I went to Mexico, and went up away from the tourist trap and saw how the Mexicans are living. It’s terrible. Give them a better way of life, then they won’t be coming here, getting our benefits, and having babies here so they can be American born citizens.

P.S. Women in Washington, D.C. — you can make a difference. We have power to do that! Or, go back to your homes, your cookstove and laundry, if you can’t make things better.
