FIREFIGHTERS: We back these four

| October 18, 2013 9:00 PM

The Coeur d’Alene Firefighters have a strong interest in the future of public safety in our city. We are on the streets serving you proudly everyday with an eye toward making our community safer through training, education and job proficiency. That’s our focus. Unfortunately, we don’t feel that focus is shared by all of the candidates. That’s why we feel the Nov. 5 election is so vital to our community.

Please join us in supporting Steve Widmyer for mayor, and Amy Evans, Kiki Miller, and Woody McEvers for City Council. Each of these candidates has demonstrated a concern for the future of public safety by actively engaging your police and fire departments to learn what it’s really like on the job. They’ve also taken the time to listen to the safety needs of the community and will continue to evaluate those needs into the future.

Widmyer, Evans, Miller and McEvers each bring a passion to see our community thrive. They each have a long history of rolling up their sleeves and putting in the work it takes to make Coeur d’Alene a wonderful place to live through their numerous contributions in local business, civic projects, community service and volunteerism. Each of these four candidates have also demonstrated the ability to approach the issues that affect our city without bias, but instead with an open mind and desire to fully understand all sides of an issue. Together with their experience and spirit of cooperation, they have the tools necessary to be positive, uniting city leaders, ready to take on the challenges that our rapidly growing city faces, in public safety and beyond.

Please join the Coeur d’Alene Firefighters in supporting these candidates and public safety with your vote: Steve Widmyer, mayor; Amy Evans, Woody McEvers and Kiki Miller for City Council.
