SENIORS: Plenty of help on hand

I read Sholeh Patrick’s column of Oct. 8 in the Press. It was very informative but there was one thing I do not agree with, about seniors being unseen in society today. I am a senior and I find that people are very considerate and helpful. Young men and older men always hold the door open for me. When I ask them in a grocery store to reach something for me on the top shelf they are more than happy to do it. Maybe there is a difference in the East but here I find it comforting to see men and women helping seniors any way they can.
