Passenger in Sunday head-on collision in fair condition

Cherokee Bresetee, one of three passengers injured in a fatal head-on collision on Interstate 90 Sunday morning, is in "fair" condition at Kootenai Health.

Bresetee and a 17-year-old male were injured in the collision and transported to Kootenai Health. The 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe the two were in was driven by Buffie McMahon, an Arizona resident, when it was struck head-on by a 1999 Hyundai Accent driven by Melissa Connors of Osburn.

Both Connors and her passenger, Shannon Wheeler, died in the collision. McMahon wass in "fair" condition Monday at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane.
