THORESON: She loves Post Falls

| October 13, 2013 9:00 PM

Election time is quickly approaching so I would like share some facts about Kerri Thoreson, an elected official who has stood for the people of her community. I have known Kerri for two and a half years and throughout that time, I have learned that Kerri is much more than a public figure of our surrounding communities; she IS a huge part of our surrounding communities.

Her hard work and the role she played in recognizing our fallen local heroes with the RD Rankin Veterans Memorial Plaza are at the very top. Her gratitude for all of those who make the huge sacrifice of defending our very freedoms shines through, gratefully thanking all of those involved with the memorial and monument.

Kerri often shows her support for local organizations from the Chamber of Commerce to the Make A Wish Foundation of North Idaho by participating and donating her time. At every event she attends, she makes a point to talk to people and ask their opinions on local issues. She LISTENS to people’s concerns and asks how political decisions affects them personally. She does this because Kerri cares about all of those in her community.

She is extremely responsive to citizens’ issues. Kerri wants to be the voice for the people she has come to love and understand. Her love of the city of Post Falls and its people radiates in everything she does. Kerri is the hardest working person I know, as she shows action for what’s important to her and local citizens. I want her to be the voice for Post Falls.

Most importantly, Kerri wants to know what is important to the people of Post Falls, so that current and future generations will prosper, grow and continue to thrive in our community.
