ENGLISH: Try it some time

| November 29, 2013 8:00 PM

In last Saturday’s paper there was an article that stated money won’t fix our schools. It was right. First you have to teach our children correctly.

The worst offense I run into almost everywhere I go are the phrases like “these ones,” “those ones” and “them ones.” Don’t you think the teachers should at least use proper English? This is known as two positives make a negative.

I am not a teacher but have been accused of being one. I thank my English teacher for teaching me proper English. They also don’t seem to salute our flag in school any longer for fear of offending someone. This is America, and they should be required to speak English and respect our flag if they want to live here.
