ART: Beholders have their say

| November 20, 2013 10:52 PM

What a great letter from D. Mitchell of Coeur d’Alene. I totally agree with him. We seem to have missed the uniqueness of our town with the choice of the Allium Plant to represent our beautiful Northern Idaho Paradise. At least a consideration of the Hearts Sculpture would’ve represented our “Coeur d’Alene” being derived from “heart of the awl.” I would prefer ponderosa pines or wildlife, deer, moose or creatures we see every day here.

I guess we can all learn to live with things that are not our personal choices. I hope in the future the Arts Commission considers our surroundings. All they have to do is look around them. This goes for you too, Post Falls.
