CONCERT: Proud and teary-eyed

I am a grandmother of two Prairie View Elementary students. I attended a Veterans Day concert at Prairie View in Post Falls on Nov. 12 and I could not hold back the tears. I have never been so impressed with what and how the students presented their songs about the USA and all branches of the military, including saluting and having the veterans (and those currently serving) who attended stand while they sang their specific military branch song.

I absolutely salute their music teacher, Nancy Strom, for her wonderful work with the students and their program. I don’t believe there were many dry eyes at this performance.

Hooray for Prairie View Elementary staff, students and Mrs. Strom — and for all the people serving our country. We’re so grateful for our teachers and our veterans!
