Tribal history presentation planned Tuesday

A free presentation "History of the Coeur d'Alene Tribe" with speaker Quanah Matheson, the tribe's culture director, will take place at North Idaho College from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, in the Edminster Student Union Building Lake Coeur d'Alene Room.

Following the presentation, there will be a Native American dance exhibit at 12:30 p.m. in the same building. The American Indian Student Alliance will have a food booth set up in the union from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. as well. All food sales benefit AISA scholarships.

This event is part of the annual NIC Cardinal Connections Symposium, which connects campus and community through shared learning about issues relevant to today's world. The topic of this year's events is "Stories of the Gathering Place."

The presentation is free and open to everyone. Free parking is offered at Cardinal Connection events; drop by the Sherman Building for a free visitor's parking pass.
