SPRING SHOW: All support appreciated

Recently we held our very successful Spring Show and would like to publicly express our thanks to members and businesses of our community for their support.

We appreciate Candlelight Fellowship Church for welcoming our 13th annual Artist Showcase in their wonderful gymnasium. It was a perfect venue for the show.

We would also like to express how much we appreciate our Showcase Sponsors, Susan and Tom Yaberg of A Mini Storage On Third, an anonymous sponsor, Merlin and Shane Berger and Lynee Richards of Frame of Mind Gallery, Meribeth Nissen, and William Pickens McCarty. Their generosity helped make our annual showcase a very special event.

And we thank The Coeur d'Alene Press for their continued support of the arts in publishing articles and photos about programs, shows and activities sponsored by the Coeur d'Alene Art Association. As a membership of artists and art lovers, CAA has been sharing the visual arts with the community for over half a century.

We welcome interested visitors and prospective members to attend our general meetings on the third Thursday of the month at 10 a.m. For more information, visit our website www.coeurdaleneartassn.org.

Sincerely,

SANDRA BERGERON

Coeur d'Alene Art Association President

CRANIUMS: They kick cancer's rear

On Saturday, May 18, our team, Coeur d'Alene Craniums, participated in the American Brain Tumor Association's Breakthrough for Brain Tumors 5K race in Spokane. Our team received two honors; we were the third largest team and top fundraisers!

All of the team members' lives have somehow been touched by brain cancer. This year we participated in memory of our loved ones as well as in support of those who are currently in the fight of their lives.

On behalf Coeur d'Alene Craniums, we want to thank everyone who participated and/or donated to our team's fundraising efforts. We especially want to thank our local Pita Pit and Jimmy Johns for their very generous donation of a wonderful lunch after the race.
