REGAN: Right for education reform

I’ve watched those aligned with Brent Regan’s political opponent twist his generosity, humor, and kindness to try to manufacture a political advantage. Brent doesn’t need his friends to make similar attacks to make him look better. His success as an entrepreneur, business and family man, and his accomplishments on the board make it clear he is the best choice for Zone 1 Trustee.

One of the things I have admired about Brent is his hands on approach. While others say “leave it to the experts,” Brent takes nothing for granted and studies the issue from every angle before coming to a conclusion. This is exactly the protocol he is using with the controversial Common Core State Standards. Brent doesn’t just sit in committee meetings and discuss what needs to be done. One of the first things he did upon being appointed trustee was tour the schools and formulate a plan to improve security. This plan has become the foundation for security upgrades in our school district, greatly enhancing the safety of our children.

Yes, he is smart and successful, but there is more to Brent than his impressive resume. Brent chose to run for Zone 1 Trustee because he truly cares about the future of the children in our community. He has the necessary skills to bring the right education reform to District 271, but he also has the drive and commitment to see it through. Our children deserve nothing less than an innovative and proven leader. Vote Brent Regan for Zone 1 Trustee.
