Program to help support local troops

| May 16, 2013 9:00 PM

Frito Lay, Disabled American Veterans and Wal-Mart are teaming up on a program to send care package items to local troops overseas.

Volunteers from the DAV will be at both Wal-Mart stores in Post Falls and Hayden Saturday and Sunday and May 25-26, manning drop boxes for donations on a wish list. Volunteers will be on site from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. both weekends.

However, donations can be dropped off at any time during the 10-day program. Wish-list items will be available at the locations.

Donations will be dropped off at the Idaho National Guard armory in Post Falls on May 30 at 4 p.m.
