DEER: Varmints have two legs

The deer eat our tomatoes and destroy our beautiful landscaping, get rid of them. The squirrels eat the bird seed, get rid of them. The birds make a mess on our decks, get rid of them. The turkeys are pests, get rid of them. The beaver and otter interfere with our fishing line, get rid of them. The moose and black bear just scare the hell out of us, get rid of them. The elk, well, we already got rid of them.

We can get rid of them all or MAYBE just buy a deer repellent, plant appropriate landscaping, put up protecting fence to guard our “farms” or drive slower in our neighborhoods to keep from running over deer or children. As a last result, maybe just move to Bakersfield where you can grow lettuce and tomatoes and not worry about these issues. Deal with it and enjoy what you have!
