Fish and Game Commission to meet

The Idaho Fish and Game Commission will meet this week in Coeur d'Alene.

A public hearing will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Best Western Plus, 506 W. Appleway Ave., Coeur d'Alene.

Members of the public who want to address the commission on any topic having to do with Fish and Game business may do so at the public hearing. All testimony will be taken into consideration when the commission makes decisions on agenda items at the meeting.

Routine agenda items include setting a summer season for chinook salmon, consideration of the fiscal 2015 budget direction and a management plan for westslope cutthroat trout, election of commission chairman and vice-chairman, and a briefing on nonbiological rules for game animals. Commissioners also will hear a presentation on controlled hunt drawing odds and will consider a position statement on grizzly bears.
