Catherine Louise (Cathy) Meyer, 42

Catherine Louise Meyer lost her battle with cancer on March 23, 2013, at Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene.

Cathy was born on Dec. 27, 1970, in Coeur d’Alene, to Dr. John B. and Barbara Meyer. She lived her entire life in Coeur d’Alene, graduating from Coeur d’Alene High School in 1989. She graduated from Washington State University in 1993 with a degree in accounting, and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1994. She was employed by Bernhart & Buck Accountants before retiring for health reasons in 2010.

Cathy belonged to the Coeur d’Alene Dog Fanciers Association and worked tirelessly during their annual dog show. She enjoyed photography, astrology, reading, movies, music and travel. She was able to participate in a white water rafting trip on the Snake River and parasailed over Lake Coeur d’Alene.

All who knew Cathy enjoyed her quirky sense of humor, her costumes for every holiday and her unflagging spirit and enthusiasm for life. She brought sunshine and laughter into the lives of her family and friends.

She is survived by her parents in Coeur d’Alene; brothers, John Moede of Scottsdale, Ariz., JB Meyer of Leesburg, Va., and Jim Meyer of Michigan; sisters, Margaret Ann Kronk of Dublin, Calif., and Helen Fausett of Corvallis, Ore.; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be sent to Hospice of North Idaho, 9493 N. Government Way, Hayden, ID 83835.
