NATION: Quest for good over evil

| March 22, 2013 10:29 PM

Very learned and respected thinkers since the beginning of time have opined that all of the problems of the world are the result of the battle between God and the devil, good vs. evil, light vs. darkness, truth vs. falsehood, honesty vs. treachery, legitimate vs. impostor, the everlasting, loving God vs. the multitude of lesser gods.

This battle between good and evil was never more obvious in history than it is today. Nations embody one or the other of these qualities as do the legitimate and illegitimate leaders and members of governing bodies world wide. America has not escaped this conflict, with catastrophic harm to our country being the result!

Our country was founded by men who were very aware of this eternal conflict and they knew well that men are selfish and that evil will always be lurking to destroy anything good! They knew you and me, perhaps even better than we know ourselves, or will admit.

You may disagree, but realize then that you are opposing opinions expressed by learned men who have been respected and venerated over the centuries since time began.

In the final analysis the most important question in life is, “Where do I stand in this everlasting battle?” Am I standing for God, good, light, honesty, truth, legitimacy, faithfulness, or do I stand with the devil and evil and against the qualities of the Godly?

I pray that you will stand with me and strive to live for God and the good that He embodies this day and as long as we may be granted to live!

Someone has said, “If decency does not abide in the Captain, then it is absent from the ship.” Another person has said in reviewing the history of those who landed at Plymouth in 1620 and whose beliefs were embodied in the founding of the U.S., “There is nothing in America that can not be remedied by going back to the principles upon which our Country was founded.” And, the answer does not begin at the White House, but at your house!

Will your house be part of the solution to our country’s problems? Join me in my journey for good!
