The funds are distributed on a competitive basis to eligible applicants. The State of Idaho is scheduled to receive Emergency Solutions Grant funds for Shelter Operations and Services funding under the 2013 allocation. A portion of these funds will be for the operation of emergency homeless shelters, services for participants in emergency homeless shelters, related HMIS or comparable database activities, and administration. Eligible applicants are units of general local government or private 501(c)3 non-profit organizations. Eligible applicants may submit one application for multiple shelter sites.
