Hilltoppers earn 2nd straight NCAA bid

George Fant helped Western Kentucky book its return trip to the NCAA tournament.

Fant had 17 points and 13 rebounds and Western Kentucky (20-15) earned its second straight NCAA tournament berth with a 65-63 win over Florida International (18-14) on Monday night in Hot Springs, Ark.

Davidson 74, College of Charleston 55: At Asheville, N.C., De'Mon Brooks had 24 points and eight rebounds, and Davidson (26-2) defended its Southern Conference championship with a wire-to-wire victory over the College of Charleston (24-10).

- COLONIAL ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION CHAMPIONSHIP

James Madison 70, Northeastern 57: At Richmond, Va., Rayshawn Goins finished with 14 points and 13 rebounds to lead James Madison (20-14) past Northeastern (20-12).

- METRO ATLANTIC ATHLETIC CONFERENCE

Iona 60, Manhattan 57: At Springfield, Mass., Tre Bowman came off the bench and scored 20 points to lead Iona (14-18) over Manhattan (20-13).
