Adelpha Grace Teeters, 84

Adelpha Grace Teeters was born Sept. 17, 1928, in Greybull, Wyo., to Everett and Nancy Vaught.

She moved to Laurel, Mont., at a very young age where she lived most of her life, attending school there and graduating from Laurel High School.

Adelpha met Delbert Teeters in school and they were married June 17, 1949, at the Methodist Church in Laurel.

Adelpha was a Mother Advisor for Eastern Star Assembly No. 38 and an active member throughout her life. Mom was also very active in the American Legion Auxiliary where she was Past District President.

In the mid ’80s Delbert and Adelpha traveled to Alaska up the Alcan Highway Approximately 1,600 miles of gravel road. The trip lasted approximately six weeks and Adelpha talked of this trip many times. Adelpha and Delbert enjoyed traveling the United States eventually settling down in Arizona, as snow birds.

In 2002 Adelpha and Delbert moved to Hayden where she enjoyed watching her granddaughter, Crystal grow and play soccer.

Adelpha passed away June 23, 2013, in Billings, Mont. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert; and her parents, Nancy and Everett Vaught.

Adelpha leaves behind three sons: Bill (Remy), Bruce (Karen) and Randy (Kriss); seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mom, Grandma, you will be forever missed by all of us.

A graveside memorial service was held Friday, June 28, 2013, at the Yellowstone County Veterans Cemetery in Laurel.

Smith Funeral Chapel, Laurel, assisted the family with cremation.
