CODE: We're not illiterate

I’ve never written a letter to the paper. Perhaps it’s time.

Regarding the article, “Land Use Code Red” by Jeff Selle, on June 19, and the following paragraph, quote:

“From this process it’s obvious we aren’t going to have a Kumbaya moment,” Commissioner Todd Tondee said. “I don’t think we will be able to educate all of them. Some of them don’t want to be educated.”

From this statement, it comes across that you consider people who live in rural areas as illiterate unless we agree with your ideas. Is this so?
