Mary Louise Mans, 81

Mary Louise Mans, 81, passed away at the Inn at Guardian Angel Homes in Post Falls on June 1, 2013, after a hard fought battle with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and dementia.

Mary was born in Malta, Mont., on March 31, 1932. She was raised on the farm with her mother and father Caroline Allery Demarais and Robert Lawrence and six brothers. She graduated from Malta High School and married Clifford Mans on Aug. 19, 1950.

She loved country music, dancing, horses, rodeos, her friends and family. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and attended church in Post Falls at the Immaculate Conception Church. She was with Gambles for over 25 years as a retail purchaser and with the Great Northern Hotel as bookkeeper. She loved to bowl on league with her friends that traveled to tournaments all over. She always worked and played hard.

Mary is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, James and Katie Mans of Coeur d'Alene and Richard Mans of California. Grandchildren: Jared, Kristopher, Keegan and Justin; great grandchild Anthony Wyatt Mans; and one brother Delmar Demarais and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by Clifford, her parents and one child Kenneth Martin and brothers: Russell, Ernie, Jim, Larry and Gene.

The family would like to say a special thanks to Dr. Jeffrey Meech, River City Hospice, for being mom's memory keeper and the staff at the Inn at Guardian Angel, the Alzheimer's support groups and all our close friends and family for your unwavering support.

A short memorial service will be held at the Inn at Guardian Angel at 1136 East Mullan Avenue in Post Falls on Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at 3 p.m., in the basement.

Additional services and internment will be held at Kirkwood Funeral Home, 202 South Second Street East, Malta, Mont. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2013, and a Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013, with gravesite and church potluck to follow.
