Katherine R. Kittle, 85

Katherine R. Kittle, 85, of Post Falls, passed away Jan. 29, 2013, in Post Falls. She was born Oct. 30, 1927, in Bedford, Ind., to Ralph and Catherine Sharpe.

In 1953 Katherine married Fred M. Lively in Bedford. Ind. Fred preceded her in death in 1984. She met Arnie Kittle and they were married in 1986. He preceded her in death in 2008. Katherine loved socializing. She was past president of the Emblem Club and an active member of the VFW in Ventura, Calif. She was very involved in the activities at Garden Plaza in Post Falls where she resided. She loved the Wii bowling tournaments, was part of the Welcoming Committee and Ambassador. She also liked puzzles and mystery novels.

Katherine is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Reese Cartwright of Post Falls; son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Jean Lively of Texarkana, Texas; stepchildren, Patti Ann Withers of Paso Robles, Calif., Lou Ann Spolsdoff of Lawndale, Calif., Jo Ann Norin of Lakeport, Calif., and Craig Kittle of Bakersfield, Calif.; and a sister, Betty Hunter of Bedford. Katherine also has 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Katie.
