JINDAL: For once, he got it right

Hooray for Bobby Jindal! I don’t usually agree with him but recent remarks from Bobby spark a ray of hope. SOME Republicans have made some pretty stupid reparks over the past year or so. That doesn’t make all Republicans stupid but it sure makes one wonder why the others are stunned when a Republican like Mr. Jindal utters a truth.

Now, more recent remarks by Republican members of Congress, “Obama’s goal is to eliminate the Republican Party,” definitely make one wonder. Are these individuals elected to Congress who supposedly understand our government and our governing systems, who swear an oath to uphold democracy, just imposters? Since the beginning we have been a democracy and that requires at least a two party system. Requires people to discuss and debate, encourages complaints and compromise.

When I hear Obama speak, I hear that what Obama wants is a fully functioning, respectful Congress that works. That means Republicans and Democrats!

We have serious problems. We are supposed to be a leading example for the rest of the world yet we send bumbling fools to Congress who whore for a microphone to boldly utter completely ignorant statements. Worse, we have talking heads on radio and TV who are supposed to be journalists who in many cases are uneducated bags of wind who have no clue how to investigate or tell the truth.

As voters we have an obligation to hear both arguments, read, research and make up our own minds. It’s hard but if we support democracy, it’s our obligation.
