GUNS: Arm yourself with real knowledge
It always amazes me when I see how little school teachers, college professors, and the general public know about the Second Amendment and why our founders put it there.
I see so many comments like, “Why do you need a gun like that for hunting,” or “The founders did not see guns like automatic weapons in our future.”
They did not see television, iPads, or cell phones as part of the First Amendment either. The founders put it there for the inconceivable time that courts would not uphold the laws and governments refused to stand for the people and only do what benefits them. Kind of sounds familiar to what our time holds for us now. It was not put there for hunters.
Thomas Jefferson said, “Laws that forbid ownership of arms disarm only those who are neither inclined, nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for assailants. They serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.”
Adolf Hitler said, “This year will go down in history. For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration! Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future!”
He was right; the president, the Democrats, and the ignorant are following the mistakes history has already made. Once the Third Reich got what they wanted — full gun registration — they went around and took guns by force and killed millions of people with nobody to stop them. Millions gave their lives so we could live free and not let that happen again.
You cannot prevent all crazy nuts from killing. If you say it is to save children why not put your efforts into finding alternatives to abortion.
Planned Parenthood bragged they did 365,000 abortions in 2012. Over three years that is a million children that did not get even a chance at life. Think about that: one million in three years. What will save the most lives and do the most to help children?
