Sims resigns from National Automobile Dealer Association Director-at-Large post

Rep. Kathy Sims has resigned from her 10-year position as the National Automobile Dealer Association's Director-at-Large for the West. The votes of roughly 400 female auto dealers west of the Mississippi were cast to place Sims in the post.

Citing the "extremely irresponsible fiscal and regulatory policies emanating from Washington, D.C.," Sims said she must spend time trying to keep the state of Idaho functional "under a barrage of mandates and burdens which are undercutting the very economic strength required to function effectively.

"My North Idaho constituents' concerns must be my priority," Sims said in a press release.

"My years on the Board of Directors for NADA were very satisfying but the crucial task of helping Idaho and Idahoans through this time is paramount," she said.
