DEBT: Democrats, heed the danger
Assume you are the parent of a family of four and you make $60,000 a year. You have been spending $80,000 a year for several years and have outstanding loans of over $100,000. How long could you survive before your creditors demand loan payments that you do not have? Do you cut spending, even if it hurts, or do you declare bankruptcy?
Our government is in the same situation although the numbers are much, much larger but they are relatively the same. Can someone tell me why the Democrats cannot or will not recognize the dangers in this situation for the individual family or for the federal government?
I just heard that the Postal Service has run out of money and may have to shut down by the end of the year. Sounds like “good” financial management to me, just like the rest of the government. We cannot keep “giving” to more people than we have been contributing to the pool from which the funds are to be given.
If you are not worried about the financial future of our country you must have your head up a very dark place.
