'Donny' Donald R. Davis Jr., 60
Passed away unexpectedly Jan. 10, 2013, in Coeur d’Alene. Donny was born Dec. 22, 1952, in Wenatchee, Wash.
Donny joined the United Stated Marine Corp after graduating from Coeur d’Alene High School in 1972. While in the Marine Corp Donny was a sharp shooter and a pioneer in the Cryogenics field. Later Donny met and married the love of his life Suzanne Butterfield. For nearly 30 years Donny worked for Mutual Materials and was a lifetime member of the United Steel and Brick Workers Union No. 556
Donny loved his family, having an actual conversation with people, talk radio, CNN, anything to do with the Universe and Space, Jeopardy and laughed aloud to “The Big Bang Theory.”
Donny is survived by his wife of 32 years, Suzanne; their children, Timothy Butterfield-Davis, Donald Ray the III and Shaelenn Davis; son-in-law James Borg and grandson Blake; his brothers, Glenn and Mike (Jan); as well as numerous extended family.
A Celebration of Life gathering with potluck reception will be held from noon to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at the Silver Lake Motel Conference Room Center, 6160 N. Sunshine, Coeur d'Alene.
