RALLY: Where was the sheriff?

| January 23, 2013 8:02 PM

Our newly elected Sheriff Wolfinger has stated publicly that the supremacy clause in the Constitution trumps state law.

If that is true, the 2nd Amendment has been infringed on with the concealed carry law. If the supremacy clause in the Constitution is superior to state law as Sheriff Wolfinger states, then the law that states one needs a permit to carry concealed is null and void.

If the state law does not obey the supreme law of the land why should anyone obey state law?

If this is a nation of law, the government, as well as the people, must obey the law.

Sheriff Wolfinger, you did not attend the 2nd Amendment rally in Cd’A, even though I understand you were invited to speak.

Where were you?

Do you not support the Constitution which you were sworn to uphold? Sheriffs all around the country are stating they will not enforce any unconstitutional gun laws, including several in Idaho.

Why have you not done so? By not attending the rally, and making your position clear, you have cast doubt on your ability to protect the people of Kootenai County.

The people of Kootenai County deserve a public statement from you making clear your stance on this issue.
