CONGRESS: Send a strong message

I sent the following letter to my Idaho representatives and senators in Congress. If you’re currently active duty military or retired military, I urge you to send them something similar. Time for them to do their job.

Please do your part to pass a budget. It’s your job. If you don’t do your job, I understand there is a threat that you won’t be paid. Please keep in mind that if the government is shut down and you don’t get paid, it also means that military retirement may not be paid.

I am a retired Marine and rely on my monthly pension. During my 20 years of active service, I did my job every day. If you’re unable to do your job, I would appreciate that you don’t fail to pay me for your inability to do what you were elected to do.
