Get the most from your Social Security benefits by attending an upcoming Social Security dinner seminar.

If you or your spouse is age 58 to 65 you can learn how to maximize your Social Security benefits and how to minimize or possibly avoid paying taxes on these benefits.

Learn how benefits are calculated, simple ways to increase them, and how married couples can maximize their Social Security by coordinating their benefits.

Pat Wardian, president and CEO of Wardian Wealth Management, will present this information Tuesday, Feb. 5 at Seasons Restaurant in Coeur d'Alene, and a second seminar is offered Thursday, Feb. 7 at Wolf Lodge Steakhouse.

Seminars begin at 6 p.m.

Money management workshops offered

The Spokane Teachers Credit Union and the Library Foundation are offering a series of workshops designed to help people manage their money and plan for the future. They are also providing lunch.

The first session, "Budgeting 101," will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, in the Community Room at the Coeur d'Alene Public Library and will focus on setting financial goals, and developing and managing a spending plan, among other topics.

Three real estate agents join Schneidmiller Realty

Coldwell Banker Schneidmiller Realty recently announced Tom "TW" Fisher and Bob and Ellen Stamsos joined its staff.

"We are pleased and honored to have Tom joining our Coldwell Banker family. He is extremely experienced and successful and works on a full time basis for his clients and customers," remarked Gary Schneidmiller, broker/owner of the firm.

Fisher is a lifelong resident of the area and has been in the real estate business for 11 years. His real estate practice has specialized in residential and commercial listingsand sales including nearly $32 million of North Idaho condominium sales.

"I have always worked on that basis believing that my clients deserve maximum service and support. I am prepared to do what is best for them," Fisher said.

He will be located in Coldwell Banker's new downtown Sherman Avenue Resort office when the project is complete in early 2013.

Bob and Ellen Stamsos also joined the Coldwell Banker family.

Bob was originally from the Portland market and is a graduate of Portland State University. His business career was With Paine Webber, now UBS.

Ellen was raised in Hawaii and was educated there. Her corporate background Was in human resources with Xerox. Prior to their move to North Idaho they lived in Hawaii as Well as San Francisco area.

"We have both worked for national corporations. The combined experience we have enjoyed brings us a wealth of marketing experience and quality customer service," Bob Stamsos said. "We really understand how important that is to our real estate practice. Our goal is to understand the needs of our customers and clients. We use that information to help buyers and sellers accomplish their goals."

Chamber Days at the Legislature are scheduled Jan. 28 and 29. All events will take place at the Boise Red Lion Downtowner. Kickoff will be at 8 a.m., Monday with the governor's address followed by a day and a half of topical seminars such as the health exchange, education reform, tourism and economic development.
