FUNDRAISER: Kudos to the community

On the 7th of January, Santorini’s Greek Cuisine Restaurant held a fundraiser to support the Riley Stevens family. Their situation was brought to our attention by an article written by Maureen Dolan on Nov. 29, 2012 in the Coeur d’Alene Press. We were so touched by the story of Riley and what his family were going through regarding his illness. We felt that we had to do something to help.

After coordination with Ms. Dolan we were able to work with Riley’s mother, Katie, to arrange for a fundraiser to be held at our restaurant.

The follow-up article which appeared in the Press publicizing the fundraiser contributed immeasurably to the success of the event.

The public outpouring of support showed how generous the citizens of our area to be. We were able to collect $3,005.75 for the family.

None of this would have been possible without your caring attitude. Ms. Dolan is to be congratulated for her personal attention and generous effort. Thank you.
