'Over the River' auditions Jan. 28-29

COEUR d'ALENE - Auditions for "Over the River and Through the Woods" are scheduled 6:30 p.m. Jan. 28 and 29 at Christian Youth Theater-North Idaho, 2775 Howard Street, Suite 7.

There are six roles up for grabs: Nick, the leading man (20s-30s) Nick's four grandparents (2 male and 2 Female 50-plus) and Caitlin O'Hare (female in her 20s), the grandparent's secret weapon.

The show will run March 22 to April 7 at the Lake City Playhouse. It will be directed by Anne Mitchell.

Renaissance Feast and Faire on Jan. 25

The Lake City High School drama and vocal music departments are teaming up to present a Renaissance Feast and Faire on Friday, Jan. 25.

It will include foods reminiscent of renaissance times, madrigal singers (LCHS Navy Blues), games and the play "A Knight to Remember."

The evening begins at 6 with a greeting by the court Jester, followed by the Royal Procession. The royal court includes Tom and Carol Mollgaard as the King and Queen of the realm.

There are opportunities for experiencing some of the traditional games of the period, including skittles, Go Fish and Hoopla.

Those attending are encouraged to wear their best medieval/renaissance wear.

Tickets are $20 per person and available from Terry DeGroot in the choir room or Sandy Seaton in the drama room.
