A Post Falls man was sentenced Tuesday to serve 15 years in state prison for robbery.

Bryant Scott Stewart, 25, was sentenced by District Judge Fred M. Gibler, who ordered that the first five years of the sentence would be fixed and the remaining 10 years are indeterminate, with credit for time served.

A restitution order of more than $22,500 was entered because of medical bills incurred as a result of the incident.

Stewart admitted to robbing and beating a man in Coeur d'Alene City Park, along with others.

The victim was left unconscious in a portable toilet before he regained consciousness and sought medical treatment. The victim suffered a fractured skull, broken nose, lacerations and bruises.

Stewart indicated he had been high on methamphetamine for six days prior to the incident.

Stewart's criminal history includes six misdemeanor convictions, including battery and four infractions. He also has a lengthy history of drug and alcohol use.
